How We're Different Than The Doctors Office

I have a lot of people ask me how First Glimpse is different than your Doctors office. We want to start off by reiterating that you need to be under a Doctor's Supervision and have had at least one ultrasound before coming to First Glimpse. We do NOT replace your doctor's ultrasound, we do Not asses your sweet baby for well being, growth or due dates. We are strictly NON-DIAGNOSTIC. Here at First Glimpse we are all about the personal one on one interaction some feel the Doctor's office lacks. Our Ultrasound Room is large but cozy, comfortable and inviting. We can comfortably seat 8-10 friends and family members and we also allow children of all ages to come to your appointment. While we do require an appointment to come in for an ultrasound, most days we can fit you in for a same day appointment, session length pending. If you do not want to call and book that appointment you can also book it yourself through our website; this way you can see all of our available times to choose from. If for some reason you get on our website to book your appointment and you do not see a time available for the day you are looking for please give us a call to see if we can fit you in some place. We want to be as accommodating as possible.

At First Glimpse we try to space out our appointments. We do our best to make sure no one feels rushed. With that being said appointments do need to start on time for this to happen, so we ask everyone to try to have their party here on time or even a few minutes early just in case as we know how bad traffic is in Baton Rouge. We understand at your Doctor's office they may not be as interactive or have the chance to give you all the adorable pictures of your baby as you would like since they are assessing your bundle of joy for all health concerns. So for that Mommy, Daddy or Grandparent who really wants that adorable face shot or to spend a half hour or hour looking at their sweet bundle of joy playing and rolling around that is where we come in. From 10 weeks into your pregnancy, just to see how much your tiny baby has changed, to 15 weeks to find out if you're nursery is for a sweet baby girl or a bouncing baby boy, all the way to 30+ weeks seeing your sweet darling's cheeks and nose and toes we're here for it all.

We love being able to spend one on one time with each client showing them all the fun things about their baby. We also love to be able to share it with your friends and family. Hearing their joy and laughter and happy tears makes it all worth while for us. We are here to help you enjoy your pregnancy that much more. We aim to be the best all around accommodating Ultrasound Facility in the state. We offer a real bed for Mommy-to-be to relax on, stocked high with as many pillows as she would like. We offer three TV's for friends & family to view the ultrasound session on. We also have a large sectional sofa for their comfort as well. Baby isn't moving? We will offer Mommy some chocolates and juice!

First Glimpse is also the only facility that understands just how stubborn an unborn baby can be. If for some reason your sweet baby does not cooperate during your session, we do allow you to come back for a free second session! The relief we see on families faces when we tell them this is worth it for us! We truly want you to enjoy this experience.
